VII International Festival of Oriental Art and Music “RUMI FEST”

With every other year our interest in oriental culture, philosophy and religion is increasingly growing. The experience and knowledge accumulated over thousands of years can be of great help in our daily life – not only in overall development, but also for spiritual insight and personal growth.

This year the hosts of the festival have decided to give a wonderful surprise to us all. The festival, aimed at familiarization with the culture and wisdom of the East, will offer a tour around amazing, mystery-bound and mystic places in Turkey.

The route will run through Konya and Cappadocia.

What will we see and visit?

  • we will visit some mystic and inaccessible to tourists places,
  • we will have educating lectures and practices,
  • we will listen to concerts of mystic music,
  • we will see the Mevlevi Sema ceremony,
  • we will have a unique opportunity of taking part in a healing Sufi practice – zikr,
  • and surely we will enjoy loads of new impressions.

“RUMI FEST” 2023 programme

Cappadocia: 23.09 – 25.09.

In the town of Kayseri we will visit the mausoleum of Hazrat Seyyid Burhaneddin, will go to the ancient mosque complex of Hynat Hatun Jami, the historic Haji Bektash Veli complex and other wonderful places. We will listen to lectures based on Sufi psychology and will practice a retreat.

Konya: 26.09 – 01.10.

In Konya we will go to such ancient places as Meram and Karaman. We will take part in the Sema ceremony, immerse ourselves in the incredible depth of mystic music, will take part in a retreat and in a healing Sufi practice – zikr. We will listen to lectures, visit concerts, do spiritual practices and study ourselves, learn more about the culture and wisdom of the East.
